Pune (Maharashtra) [India], May 19 (ANI): Following the arrest of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra for allegedly sharing sensitive information and being in continuous contact with a Pakistani citizen, Defence Expert Hemant Mahajan on Monday said that they must must catch all other agents that are operating for Pakistan and China in India.
“It is very good news… Pakistan needs agents to retrieve information about various internal matters, including our military leaders and our morale… The battle between agents and us will continue, and we have to ensure that all suspected people are under surveillance and their mobile/communication devices are spied upon… We must catch all other agents that are operating for Pakistan and China in India,” the defence expert told ANI.
Jyoti Malhotra, a resident of Hisar, Haryana, was arrested for allegedly sharing sensitive information and being in continuous contact with a Pakistani citizen. Puri Superintendent of Police, Vinit Agrawal, said that they are in touch with the Haryana police over the matter.
Jyoti Malhotra was interrogated for allegedly passing information to Pakistan. She allegedly met a Pakistani officer, Ahsan-ur-Rahim, in Delhi, travelled to Pakistan twice, and shared sensitive information.
During the preliminary investigation, the woman told the police that she went to the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi in 2023 to apply for a visa and met a man named Ahsan-ur-Rahim, alias Danish.
Haris Malhotra, father of the woman arrested by Haryana Police on charges of spying, has said that his daughter made YouTube videos and had visited Pakistan. He demanded the return of the phones taken by the police.
The defence expert further reacted to Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi’s tweet asking how many aircraft we lost and said that they should not be out in the public domain if there is a loss of aircraft or weapons.
“No losses should be made public as it gives information to Pakistan that the anti-aircraft system they used was effective, and it will encourage them… If loss of weapon or aircraft should not be out in the public domain,” Hemant Mahajan said.
Earlier today, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi again questioned External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, accusing him of being silent on how many aircraft the Indian Air Force lost during Operation Sindoor and said that the nation “deserves the truth.”
“EAM Jaishankar’s silence isn’t just telling — it’s damning. So I’ll ask again: How many Indian aircraft did we lose because Pakistan knew? This wasn’t a lapse. It was a crime. And the nation deserves the truth,” Rahul Gandhi posted on X.
India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that left 26 civilians dead. As part of the operation, Indian Armed Forces targeted terror infrastructure deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, eliminating over 100 terrorists linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.
