Warangal (Telangana) [India], August 28 (ANI): After visiting the Bhadrakali temple in Warangal on Wednesday Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma expressed his gratitude to the administration for the warm welcome and also said that visiting the temples is the way of understanding Telangana.
The newly appointed Telangana Governor said “It was a great program. I received a great honour. I am very grateful to the District Administration and State Government.”
“I am new here, so I am seeing the district, the culture; I am visiting the temples. This is the way of understanding Telangana – to reach out to people,” added Jishnu Dev Varma.
Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma visited the Bhadrakali temple in Warangal and offered prayers on Wednesday.
Jishnu Dev Varma, a senior BJP leader, was appointed as the Governor of Telangana earlier on July 28 by President Droupadi Murmu.
Jishnu Dev Varma was born in Agartala on August 15, 1957 and has been serving as the 4th and current Governor of Telangana since July 31, 2024.
He is from Tripura and previously served as the second Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura from 2018 to 2023. (ANI)
