New Delhi [India], August 2 (ANI): An email was received by a school in Delhi’s Greater Kailash area, threatening to blow it up with a bomb on Friday, officials said.
According to the Delhi Police, the email said that a bomb was planted in the school on Thursday, though nothing has yet been found in the investigation.
Legal action in the matter has been initiated.
Principal of Summer Fields School, Shalini Agarwal said that as per the SOP, the management evacuated the students within 10 minutes of receiving the email.
“We received an email late at night which was checked early morning today. As per the SOP, we evacuated the students within 10 minutes of receiving the email. We informed the police and district administration, and we are thankful to the police – they supported us magnificently as they came immediately. There are hardly any students here, we are just waiting for a few parents to come and collect their wards,” the Principal said.
She further said that police and bomb squad are present in the school and they are checking the premises.
“There was absolutely no panic amongst the parents,” she added.
Further details are awaited. (ANI)
