New Delhi [India], July 5 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that his government will be implementing the ‘P4 Model of Development’ in his state in which ‘P4’ stands for ‘Public, Private, People and Partnership’.
“We have decided to take up skill census instead of caste census in the state. We have discussed and approved this in the Cabinet. Soon we are going to release all the guidelines for converting human resources into capital investment. The aim is to create wealth. We will provide employment according to skills with short, medium and long-term goals. We will collate skills in every family and invest in their strengths… Every family becomes an aspiring entrepreneur. So the per capita income of each family will increase. Instead of the PPP model we want to bring the P4 system. Those who are in the highest position of wealth will lend a helping hand to those at the bottom,” the Chief Minister explained.
Naidu said that his party and the Centre will work together for the reconstruction of his state especially since it has suffered “irreparable damage” in the last five years.
“We will work towards the reconstruction of Andhra Pradesh. Due to poor results in the last five years, the state has suffered irreparable damage. People have empowered the NDA alliance. We will repair the state together. Centre and the state will work together for the well-being of the state,” the Chief Minister said during a conversation with the media in Delhi.
Speaking about protecting the interests of both the Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Naidu said, “The aim of P4 is to protect the interests of both the states. My policy is to give equal justice to both states. I said the same thing during the partition.”
“Even now, in the meeting with Revanth Reddy, we will discuss that the problems should be resolved without harming the interests of both the states…” he added.
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has left for Hyderabad from Delhi and will be meeting his Telangana counterpart on Saturday. The two Chief Ministers are likely to discuss issues relating to the bifurcation of the state and some other issues. The discussion would be around the bifurcation of institutions listed in Schedule IX and X in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act 2014.
Speaking about the resources in his state, Chandrababu Naidu said, “Andhra Pradesh has the greatest resources of any state in the south. All of Andhra Pradesh is connected between the two Krishna Godavari rivers. About 3000 TMCs of water flow from the Godavari river. If we can use that water, miracles can be created in the state.”
On Amravati, Naidu said, “In the last five years of Jagan’s rule, the attraction of Amaravati has reduced to some extent. The main objective is to bring back the lost vibrance of Amaravati. Work is going on. 135 Government Offices are going to be set up in Amaravati. We are providing all the basic infrastructure needed in Amaravati. Soon we are going to complete the construction of all offices, including Iconic Buildings…We will first complete the buildings which are under construction and at different stages. All construction work in Amaravati will be taken up quickly…”
Rubbishing allegations about whether the Telugu Desam Party has demanded the Deputy Speaker’s position from its coalition partner Bharatiya Janata Party, Naidu said, “Earlier when the NDA government was headed by Vajpayee, we did not expect any posts. Then we were asked to take seven ministerial posts and we did not accept. I only accepted the Speaker’s post for the sake of good relations with the NDA parties. Even now, we did not ask for any posts for the TDP, but instead of rejecting the offer from NDA, we took only two ministerial posts. We are happy with the ministerial posts given by them.”
Chandrababu Naidu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several Union Ministers during his two-day visit to Delhi. This was his first visit to the national capital after being appointed the Chief Minister. “The meeting was very positive,” he said. (ANI)
