Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 10 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari on Monday extended greetings to the newly sworn-in ministers from the state in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third union cabinet.
Five Lok Sabha Members of Parliament (MPs) who include Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Virendra Kumar, Durgadas Uikey and Savitri Thakur and one Rajya Sabha MP from the state L Murugan took oath on Sunday.
Patwari told ANI, “Many congratulations to the ministers from Madhya Pradesh. In the economic, corruption and administrative chaos prevailing in Madhya Pradesh, I hope they (ministers) try to get everything that is necessary for the state and bring prosperity here with the help of the central government.”
“Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the crime against SC-ST act. In such a situation, I believe that it is the responsibility of the Congress Party that we should keep an eye on such crimes and inform the state government about it,” he added.

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also congratulated all the ministers from Madhya Pradesh who got a place in the Modi 3.0 government.
“Our state has got six ministers. I congratulate all the ministers. I also congratulate Prime Minister Modi under whose leadership the cabinet has been formed. Yesterday, the entire nation and the world saw the depth of Indian democracy and PM Modi has shown a vision by connecting all the states and giving opportunities to them,” CM Yadav told reporters in the national capital on Monday.
On Sunday evening, Narendra Modi took oath as Prime Minister of India for his third successive term at an impressive ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan which was attended by leaders from India’s neighbourhood and Indian Ocean region.
President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to Narendra Modi, followed by other members of his team of ministers on the occasion.
BJP-led National Democratic Alliance won its third successive term in results of Lok Sabha polls declared on June 4. The NDA won 293 seats in the Lok Sabha polls with BJP getting 240 seats. (ANI)
