New Delhi [India], August 13 (ANI): A youth allegedly stabbed his father following an argument on the intervening night of August 12 and 13 at 11 pm in the national capital, police said on Tuesday.
The victim, who has been identified as Raj Kumar Rattan (54), was admitted to a hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.
The incident was reported within the limits of the Khyala police station.
After being alerted about the incident, police reached the spot near the Vishnu Garden Extension and found that a quarrel had taken place between the injured Raj Kumar Rattan and his son Sachin Rattan (29). During the quarrel, Sachin inflicted an injury with a kitchen knife on his father, the police said.
“Injured Raj Kumar is a kidney patient and is regularly on dialysis. He was taken to Guru Gobind Singh Hospital (GGS), and after first aid, he has been shifted to Safdarjung Hospital for a CT scan. He is stable and is undergoing tests,” police said.
The accused is allegedly addicted to alcohol and doesn’t work and that was the reason for the quarrel between father and son, as per police.
A case under appropriate sections of the law is being registered. (ANI)
