Madhya Pradesh: 7 dead, 10 injured after truck hits auto-rickshaw in Jabalpur – World News Network

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 18 (ANI): At least 7 people died, while 10 others were injured after a truck collided with an auto-rickshaw on the Sihora-Majhgawan road in Jabalpur on Wednesday. The deceased included 4 men and 3 women.
The injured including 6 men and 4 women were rushed to a primary health centre at Sihora.
Sihora MLA Santosh Singh Badkare also arrived at the spot along with police and officials of the official administration to check up on the matter.
Financial assistance has been sanctioned to the families of the deceased and the injured.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced ex-gratia financial assistance for the families of those who lost their lives and were injured in a recent accident.
Each family of the deceased will receive Rs 2 lakh, with an additional Rs 15,000 from the road accident fund. Beneficiaries of the Sambal Yojana will receive an extra Rs 4 lakh.
Sihora MLA Santosh Singh Badkare has contributed Rs 5,000 to the family of the deceased. Injured individuals will receive free medical treatment along with Rs 7,500 in assistance from the Road Accident Fund. (ANI)
