Haridwar (Uttarakhand) [India], April 4 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke on the passing of Waqf Amendment Bill in both the houses of Parliament and stated that country had wanted this for a long time.

The Uttarakhand CM added that there have been several such cases in Uttarakhand as well under which will get probed and will be taking forward the works of public welfare.
“The country had wanted this for a long time. The encroachment on these pieces of land and all the land which belonged to Panchayats and other departments, used to be included in Waqf. Now, all that land will come out of that criteria and a lot of work can be done. Even in Uttarakhand, there are several such cases…we will get it probed and take forward the works of public welfare…Opposition always does the politics of appeasement. Under the leadership of PM Modi, new laws are being brought…and historic decisions are being made…”, Pushkar Singh Dhami said while speaking to reporters on Friday.

“This fair is not only limited to the religious rituals, but it also preserves folk art, culture and our traditions. A lot of people get the opportunity to showcase their talent through this platform…It also presents dramas and tableau on subjects like environment protection, ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’…Today, I extend my wishes to you all for Mahaashtami and Ram Navami…”, Pushkar Singh Dhami said.
