Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], November 14 (ANI): A day after the first phase of polling, BJP MP Anurag Thakur attacked the ruling INDIA bloc in Jharkhand and said Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has promised gas cylinders to the “illegal immigrants” launched a scathing attack on the ruling INDIA bloc in Jharkhand, accusing Congress MP Rahul Gandhi of promising gas cylinders to “illegal immigrants.”
He claimed that illegal immigrants are living in Jharkhand under the protection of Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morch (JMM), and have been given rights to grab land and jungles, altering the state’s demographics.
“… Rahul Gandhi has promised gas cylinders to illegal immigrants. This means they are living here under the protection of Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morch (JMM). The two parties have also given the rights to (illegal immigrants) grab lands and jungles, and given the right to change the demographics of the state…,” Thakur told ANI.
The BJP MP said that the Lotus (BJP’s poll symbol) will bloom in Jharkhand on November 23.
“The people of Jharkhand have proved that the Lotus will bloom here after voting in favour of the party in the first phase of the polling. (They have proved that) time has come to change the fate of the Jharkhand,” Thakur told ANI.
It was the BJP who had created the state of Jharkhand, he mentioned. “It is the BJP who will take over the affairs of the Jharkhand”.
Earlier in the day, Anurag Thakur also addressed a press conference in Ranchi and said, “…If you look at the last 5 years of RJD-Congress-JMM government, the people of Jharkhand have got only ‘love-jihad’ and ‘land jihad’…Instead of public welfare, ‘jihad-kalyan’ is going on here. Several examples of this are present here in front of you and if you’ll see, you will get to know how ‘love jihad’, ‘land jihad’ are going on here to unbalance the land properties and demography of the state. Tribal are being lured and their rights are being snatched away…The people of Jharkhand feel cheated. RJD-JMM-Congress has cheated the public not just on one front, but on every front.”
Elections on the remaining 38 seats will be conducted on November 20. The counting of the votes will take place on November 23. (ANI)
