Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 26 (ANI): Telangana Minister for Irrigation and Civil Supplies Uttam Kumar Reddy reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting Hyderabad’s real estate and construction sector, aiming to transform the city into a globally competitive destination.
Speaking at the 14th Edition of the Property Show at Hitex Exhibition Centre on Friday, Uttam Kumar Reddy assured real estate developers that the government regarded them as “partners in progress” and was dedicated to working alongside them to drive Hyderabad’s growth.
“Our government is standing with you. To achieve our goal of making Hyderabad a truly global destination, we must work together completely. You are essential partners in driving Hyderabad’s progress,” he added.
Acknowledging Hyderabad’s increasing economic significance within Telangana, Uttam Kumar Reddy assured that the government would take all necessary measures to stimulate real estate and construction activity, a vital engine for economic growth.
Addressing concerns raised by the realty sector, Uttam Kumar Reddy directly tackled fears about previous approvals, permissions, and No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
“Let me be clear – any builders holding prior approvals and permissions can rest assured these will be respected. The government will ensure past approvals are honoured, with no disruptions to your projects. No one should worry about interruptions or unexpected issues – this is our assurance,” he said.
The Telangana Minister, further highlighted the grand infrastructure development plans the state government had for Hyderabad to position it as a leading urban centre.
“We have a concrete vision for Hyderabad. It was our Congress government that built the Outer Ring Road, and now we are developing the Regional Ring Road (RRR) and connecting radial roads. These projects will transform Hyderabad’s landscape and connectivity,” Reddy added.
The Congress government, Uttam Kumar Reddy pointed out, was keen on providing the infrastructure, services, and amenities that internationally acclaimed cities offer. According to him, these initiatives underscored a broader government mission to elevate Hyderabad’s status as a global destination – from technology and sports to education and public amenities.
“Hyderabad is an economic nerve,” the Minister stated, adding that almost 60 per cent of Telangana’s revenue comes from Hyderabad and its surroundings.
Uttam Kumar Reddy reassured the industry that the present government was committed to creating a collaborative, business-friendly environment.
“We are an activist, interactive, and accessible administration. Unlike any previous government, we welcome your suggestions at any time. We are here to ensure you can conduct business peacefully and supportively,” he maintained, emphasising the administration’s open-door policy and commitment to enhancing Hyderabad’s economic and infrastructural development.
