Bengaluru (Karnataka)[India], November 5 (ANI): Karnataka’s Minister for Large and Medium Industries, MB Patil, speaking to ANI, on Tuesday, said that the government will seek the legal course of action regarding the notice issued to Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and others.
“…We will follow the legal course and if the court has given notice, the Karnataka CM will take a call after consulting with the advocates…When the BJP was in power in the state and Congress was in power in the centre, they (BJP) did not have faith in CBI and ED also…All of a sudden when BJP is in power, CBI and ED became pure…,” he said.
He further said “This is the dual standards and thereby Krishna has also been set up by these people (BJP)… They are doing politics”.
Earlier in the day, the Karnataka High Court heard the petition filed by activist Snehamayi Krishna seeking a direction to transfer the MUDA case involving Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to CBI, issued notice to Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and others.
The High Court directed the Lokayukta police to submit details of the probe conducted by November 25 while adjourning further hearing on the petition till November 26.
The Mysuru Lokayukta officially initiated an inquiry and investigation into the case following a September 27 court order to file an FIR. The Lokayukta was directed to investigate allegations of illegalities in the allotment of 14 sites worth Rs 56 crore to Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi, by MUDA.
It is alleged that MUDA illegally allotted 14 sites to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife in the prime location of Mysuru city.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Monday that he has been summoned by the Mysore Lokayukta regarding the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
On being asked by the media, CM Siddaramaiah said, “Yes, Mysore Lokayukta has issued a notice regarding MUDA. I will go to Mysore Lokayukta on November 6.” (ANI)
