Tarn Taran (Punjab) [India], September 29 (ANI): Border Security Force recovered one drone in Punjab’s Tarn Taran during the morning hours on Sunday, said BSF in a press release.
Based on information provided by a combine harvester operator about a drone in a farming field, BSF troops rushed to the spot and carried out an extensive search operation, said BSF in a press release.
The search culminated at about 11:40 am with the recovery of one drone from a farming field nearby village-CB Chand in district Tarn Taran, added the statement.
The recovered drone has been identified as a China-made DJI Mavic 3 classic, informed officials.
Earlier on Monday, BSF and the Punjab police, in a joint operation, recovered a drone in a farming field adjacent to Mahwa village in Amritsar district, said BSF in a press release.
As per an official release, on September 23, acting on information from the BSF intelligence wing regarding the presence of a drone in the border area of district Amritsar, BSF troops, in collaboration with Punjab Police, carried out an extensive search in the suspected area.
Earlier on September 12, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police, in a joint operation, recovered a drone with 6.230 kg of suspected heroin in the Tarn Taran district of Punjab.
On September 9, the Border Security Force (BSF) troops recovered 1.180 kilogrammes of suspected heroin in the border area of Amritsar district. (ANI)
