New Delhi [India], January 4 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi President Virendraa Sachdeva lashed out at Arvind Kejriwal’s statement on the water situation in the city and alleged that the he was lying.
“Arvind Kejriwal has lied once again today. The situation regarding water supply in Delhi is concerning. Many residents who are living their lives peacefully are now disturbed by the exorbitant water bills they have been receiving, which amount to lakhs. Kejriwal has announced that he people should wait for elections and not clear these bills,” Sachdeva said addressing the media.
Further, the BJP President questioned on why there were water bills if the government and the Jal Board was Kejriwal’s.
“The government is yours, the minister are yours, the Jal Board is yours, then where are such bills coming from? This is just your corruption, this is just the game of the tanker mafia. What is stopping you from waiving these water bills? You only want to fool people. This AAPda will be removed from Delhi,” Sachdeva further added.
Earlier on Saturday, Kejriwal said that his government had been providing free water to the people for ten years.
“Our government in Delhi has been providing free water to people for the last 10 years. More than 12 lakh families get 0 water bills. But after I went to jail, I don’t know what these people did,” Kejriwal said addressing the media.
Kejriwal claimed that there was something wrong done by the opposition due to which people started getting water bills of thousands and lakh of rupees.”
They did something wrong and people started getting water bills of thousands and lakhs of rupees every month. I want to publicly and officially announce that those who think their bills are wrong, they need not pay their water bills, they should wait..” he added. (ANI)
