In his letter, Dhami wrote, “I express my deepest condolences on the demise of revered Ratan Naval Tata ji. His legacy, achievements, and contributions have left an indelible mark not only in the business world but in the hearts of every Indian.” He added that the void left by Tata’s departure is profoundly felt across the nation, stating, “In this difficult time, the sentiments of every citizen of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand are with every family associated with the Tata Group.”

The Chief Minister praised Ratan Tata for redefining industrial leadership in India, noting, “His visionary leadership and remarkable business acumen gave every Indian many moments of pride.” Dhami highlighted Tata’s dedication to excellence, innovation, and philanthropy, emphasising that he inspired countless individuals not just in India but around the world.

“The memory and legacy of Ratan Tata Ji will continue to instill the feeling of Indianness in every citizen of the country,” Dhami remarked

The Chief Minister paid his humble tribute to late Ratan Tata on behalf of all the people of the state on his sudden demise and also prayed to Almighty God to grant peace to his soul and give strength to all his family members to bear this grief.

Ratan Tata passed away on October 9 evening, leaving behind a legacy that has profoundly shaped the landscape of the Tata group.

Noel Tata, son of Naval Tata and Simone Tata, now steps into this pivotal role at a time of great change within the Tata Group and its associated trusts. As the new chairman, he will uphold the vision and values instilled by Ratan Tata, who was widely regarded as a titan of Indian industry and a transformative figure for the Tata conglomerate.

Noel Tata has been associated with the Tata Group for many years, holding various leadership roles across different businesses. His appointment comes as the trust aims to navigate the challenges of a rapidly changing global landscape while continuing to uphold its commitment to social responsibility and ethical business practices.

According to the statement from Tata Trusts, since 1892, Tata Trusts, India’s oldest philanthropic institution, has been at the forefront of creating lasting impact among communities. Rooted in the visionary philanthropy of its founder, Jamsetji Tata, the Trusts remain resolute in catalysing transformative change and leading advancements that uplift communities across the nation.
