He paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel saying that the Hyderabad Mukti Sangram will always be cited as a glorious manifestation of patriotism, where people led an uprising against the tyrant Nizam and endured immense pains to unite with India.

Earlier in the day, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy hoisted the national flag at the BJP State Office in Nampally, Hyderabad.
