Rahul Gandhi has always been proud of insulting the Hindu community: CM Dhami – World News Network

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], July 2 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday criticized Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, accusing him of insulting the Hindu community.
Dhami was reacting to Gandhi’s remarks in the Lower House, where Gandhi, targeting the BJP, claimed that “those who call themselves Hindus indulge in hate and violence round the clock.”
“The more Rahul Gandhi’s statement in Parliament is condemned, the less it is. The manner in which he called the entire Hindu community ‘violent’ is highly condemnable,” Dhami told reporters.
“He has always been proud of insulting the Hindu community. As the Leader of the Opposition, which is a dignified position, he should be serious. May God give him wisdom,” he added.
Rahul Gandhi, in his speech in the Lok Sabha on Monday afternoon, during the debate on the motion of thanks on President Draupadi Murmu’s address, accused the BJP and RSS of preaching and spreading violence and hatred. His remarks drew protests from the Treasury benches.
The Bharatiya Janata Party, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, among others, stood up to express their protest and rebut the Congress MP’s remarks.
The BJP leaders accused Gandhi of “speaking lies, misleading the House, and terming the entire Hindu community violent.”
Many BJP leaders, including its chief ministers, condemned Gandhi’s remarks.
Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav said, “Several Congress leaders, including the senior leader of the Madhya Pradesh Congress, Lakshman Singh, have expressed disagreement with what Rahul Gandhi said. I think Mallikarjun Kharge should gather details of this and speak with Rahul Gandhi regarding his resignation.”
Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma also accused Rahul Gandhi of insulting Hindus with his remarks.
“Yesterday in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi called Hindus ‘violent,’ liars, and hateful. He not only lied but also insulted 125 crore Hindus. He has failed for the third consecutive time; Congress tried to launch him again and again, but he was unable to get launched. He has been rejected,” Sharma said.
“This was the first speech of Rahul Gandhi as the Leader of the Opposition, and it was full of lies, despair, and baseless claims. He did not say a word on the President’s Address, though the discussion was on the same. He only lied in Parliament. It doesn’t suit the Leader of the Opposition to display the photo of a deity in the House and politicize it,” he added.
Meanwhile, several portions of Rahul Gandhi’s maiden speech as Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, targeting the central government over various issues, including minorities, the NEET row, and the Agnipath scheme, have been expunged from the records of Parliament on the orders of the Speaker.
The portions expunged include his comments on Hindus and PM Narendra Modi-BJP-RSS, among others. (ANI)
