Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 19 (ANI): Preparations are in full swing for Deepotsav 2025 at Ram Ki Paidi on the banks of the River Saryu in Ayodhya. Ahead of the festival of lights, grand preparations are underway in the city for Deepotsav to create history with over 26 lakh diyas.
The devotees and tourists have already started coming to witness the grand illumination of the ghats.
One of the devotees expressed his excitement at visiting the holy city, “Bahut acha nazara hai..bahut anand aa raha hai,” he told ANI.
Another devotee who came from Patna praised the government, saying, “There are all the proper arrangements for the devotees who are coming here…”
The Festival of Diwali is celebrated after Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya, following his 14 years of exile and his defeat of the demon king Ravana. During this exile, the Demon King Ravana of Lanka abducted Mata Sita.
Lord Rama conquered Lanka and saved Mata Sita. In joyous celebration of this victory and the return of King Rama, the people of Ayodhya celebrate this day by illuminating the city with earthen diyas and distributing sweets.
